Collection consists of correspondence, brochures, patents, and other items pertaining to the Longest Brothers, manufacturers and sellers of automobiles and other products. Items of interest include: letters from various auto manufacturers such as Oldsmobile and Ford advertising their line of vehicles; letters from the Louisville Automobile Club discussing events and policies of the club; and two patents granted to the Longest Brothers for inventions pertaining to automobiles and auto repair. Overall, the collection provides documentation of the early automobile industry in Louisville, Kentucky.
